Why is Integration Important? (It’s Not Just for Developers)

With the increasing accumulation of data by large-scale enterprises, the risks associated with information-related issues multiply rapidly. It becomes more probable that critical data may become fragmented, duplicated, or even lost altogether. To address this, organizations need to unify their data sources by establishing connections between their numerous applications and systems.

There are two commonly employed methods for integrating data sources: writing custom code or implementing connector applications. Each integration requires ongoing maintenance and updates to be handled internally for as long as the connected application remains in use. Furthermore, when new applications are introduced, integrations must be created, tested, and maintained to ensure compatibility with existing integrations. This inefficient and costly allocation of the development team's time.
