Wikipedia defines an Application Programming Interface (API) as a software interface that establishes a connection between computers or computer programs. Unlike a user interface (UI), which facilitates interaction between a computer and a person, an API facilitates communication between computers or software components. By eliminating the "User" factor, APIs offer significant potential for automation, accuracy, and reusability.
