A Third of Energy Companies Are Seeking Tighter Integration and Collaboration

IFS has conducted some global research, polling more than 600 decision-makers at large energy companies, and has revealed priorities and projects that are focused on digital transformation. Carol Johnston, VP of Energy, Utilities & Resources at IFS, has evaluated these findings and offered her insight into six key business areas.

Energy companies that are feeling the pressure are looking well into digital transformation. 31% of oil, gas, and utility companies across the world have cited tighter integration and collaboration across business functions as the top two drivers for the adoption of enterprise software systems. 30% also reference better management of projects, 29% cited asset lifecycle management and 29% pinpointed operation efficiency needing to be improved.
