Navigating Hard Conversations

Udari Samarasinghe, a Training Coordinator at the IFS Academy, explains that within our day-to-day conversations, holding the key to unlocking every difficult dialogue is an essential skill set to learn. It's even more striking when interacting with a variety of stakeholders on a global level.

Most of the time, people tend to avoid difficult conversations to avoid conflict, which of course does not erase the issues that need to be discussed. Many of us avoid difficult conversations that we are unsure of how to manage in the best way. Many of us are afraid to have difficult conversations that we feel could potentially damage or even ruin relationships in the workplace or could simply create a negative impact on the work environment.
