In a peculiar twist, late July saw individuals succumbing to extreme heat in Arizona while simultaneously enjoying skiing activities in California.
A recent article in the New York Times shed light on the formidable challenges confronted by air conditioning repair companies due to the surge in extreme heat. The spotlight was on José Guerrero, operating from Phoenix, who has found himself busier than ever this summer. Running a small family-owned enterprise, Guerrero not only grapples with the struggle to meet soaring demand, but he and his team also confront the grueling task of working in attics where temperatures have soared beyond 150 degrees. Certain days and times have become simply untenable for work, as the risk of fainting or worse looms large.
Given the escalating occurrence of weather extremes across nearly every season, field service enterprises must embrace technology that aids them in factoring in weather conditions, among other variables, to enhance their planning and scheduling optimization processes.
