SYSTEMS ANALYST

The Systems Analyst’s role is to plan, design, and launch efficient information systems and operations systems in support of project delivery and core organizational functions. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to guide functional solution designs for desirability, feasibility, and viability, and leads the development and delivery of the technical solution.

POSITION TITLE: Systems Analyst
REPORTS TO: Chief Technology Officer VP, Product Development

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The System Analyst will be a highly motivated and self-driven individual that thrives in a fast paced, exciting environment. Works independently with little to no guidance and is naturally inquisitive and adept in communication, and facilitation. This role provides an opportunity to leverage strong analytical/technical skills to solve complex business problems across multiple technical areas, while also providing technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and implementing systems and applications to support business requirements.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Assist in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications and enhancements to functional solutions.
  • Meet with decision makers, product owners, solution architects and business analysts to define business requirements and system goals and resolve business systems issues.
  • Ensure compatibility and interoperability of computing systems.
  • Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
  • Create system design proposals.
  • Create systems models, specifications, diagrams and charts to provide direction to system programmers.
  • Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Business or equivalent (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 3 years experience in working with an ERP best-of-breed system, as a System Analyst, at an end customer or other software supplier (IFS experience a plus).
  • Experience with Oracle Database technology and SQL.
  • Commercial focus, business acumen and a “can-do” attitude.
  • Strong analytical skills and a technical mindset.
  • Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Good project management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
