Principal Business Intelligence Specialist & Aurena Developer
After serving in the U.S. Army for eight years with leadership roles in counterintelligence, Matt has held supervisor and management positions in the areas of security and technology for corporations such as: FedEx Ground, Nextel Partners, Inc., Dell Computer, and Wal-Mart, Inc. From this work experience, he has gained expertise in the Microsoft platform & suite, as well as in SQL and Oracle database navigation and queries.
Matt serves RutterKey clients essentially in the role of technical business analyst, where he provides expert advice, assistance, and guidance. For example, he was recently onsite with an industry leader in customized promotional product manufacturing to assist with their report requirements. Once there, Matt was able to workshop reports and key components of handling shop orders.
After Matt’s discovery phase, he either works directly with the client and end users to assimilate the solution, or he reviews his findings with RutterKey Solution Architects, who then ensure best practices are adhered to in consideration of the full implementation.
Beyond working directly with clients, Matt has also assumed some of the IT Management responsibilities for RutterKey and has spearheaded several internal projects and programs.
In 2013, Matt earned his degree in Web Design & Development from TSTC in Waco, TX. Learning to trouble shoot legacy PHP code, building and using web-based apps, like CodeIgnitor to track web data, as well as working with Java based models, WordPress, and writing customized VBA script, Matt has a strong technical foundation within his professional development skillset.
His addition to the RutterKey team means clients will benefit from custom IFS Lobbies, as well as SSRS & Crystal Reports, and more. In a previous position with Sunbelt Transformers in Temple, TX, Matt was the sole web developer for a company with 150 employees and 45,000 customers. He was able to incorporate CRM, Quoting, and Inventory Management into the company website.
Since October 2017, he has owned BASSMATT Tech, LLC, and continued to consult and lend his expertise to IFS functionality and development.
